HEMATOLOGY
Analyzes in the hematology laboratory are fundamental to the diagnosis and monitoring of a wide range of diseases.
Therefore, we have high-tech analyzers and carry out regular internal and external quality checks.
- General blood test
- Microscopic examination of a peripheral blood smear
- Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ERS)
- Reticulocytes (RBCs)
- Hemoglobin electrophoresis
- Direct and indirect Coombs
- Hemostasis control (prothrombin time – PT, partial thromboplastin time – aPTT, fibrinogen, d-dimers, activity of clotting factors)
- Blood group / Rhesus
- Red sickle test
- G6PD enzyme
MICROBIOLOGΥ
In the Microbiological laboratory of LabCare, microbiological tests are carried out, the results of which are evaluated by the doctor, always after taking into account the history of the examined person.
In each culture, the pathogen is isolated and identified and sensitivity to antibiotics is checked (antibiogram).
The nutrient substrates we use in the cultures are prepared in our laboratory.
Examinations conducted:
- Tail
General urine examination (biochemical characters and microscopy), quantitative urine culture (cfu/ml), antibiogram. - Stool
Parasitological stool, Mayer stool, culture. - Vaginal/cervical smear
Sample collection, immediate preparation, culture for aerobic and anaerobic pathogens, for Mycoplasma – Ureaplasma – Chlamydia. - Semen
Spermogram (microscopy on a Neubauer plate), culture for commonly pathogenic aerobic and anaerobic microbes, for Mycoplasma – Ureaplasma – Chlamydia. - Urinary discharge
Culture for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, for Mycoplasma – Ureaplasma – Chlamydia. - Wound
Sampling, Gram staining, culture and antibiotic resistance testing of the pathogen. - Strep test
Streptococcus pyogenes group A detection. - Excited
Cultivation of scrapings of nails (hands-feet).
BIOCHEMISTRY
In the biochemical department of LabCare we study and analyze the organic and inorganic substances found in the human body, thus understanding the function of the solid organs and, by extension, the overall function of the body.
Examinations conducted
- Diabetic control
Sugar (glucose), sugar curve, measurement of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c). - Kidney function check
Serum and urine urea and creatinine, creatinine clearance. - Liver check
Transaminases (SGOT, SGPT), γ-GT, total bilirubin, direct and indirect, ammonia. - Lipid control
Total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, atherosclerotic index, lipoprotein α (Lp(a)), apolipoprotein A1 (Apo-A1), apolipoprotein A2 (Apo-A2). - Cardiac check-up
Creatine kinase (CK) isoenzyme CK-MB, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), Troponin I, Troponin T, natriuretic peptide B (BNP). - Electrolytes
Sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, chlorine, magnesium. - Other tests
Iron, transferrin, ceruloplasmin, uric acid, lactic acid, total albumin, albumin, globulin, serum albumin electrophoresis, serum albumin immunofixation, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), insulin, insulin curve, C-peptide, G6PD enzyme, etc.
HORMONES
In the hormonal department of LabCare, a test of the endocrine glands and a differential diagnostic approach to the diseases related to them is carried out.
More specifically, the following are carried out:
- Thyroid gland check
FT3, T3, FT4, T4, TSH, Anti-TPO antibodies, Anti-TG antibodies, Anti-TSH-R antibodies, Thyroglobulin (TG), Calcitonin (CT). - Adrenal control
Serum cortisol, 24-hour urine cortisol, DHEA-S, 17-OH-Progesterone, ACTH. - Osteoporosis screening
PTH, Vitamin D3, Osteocalcin. - Infertility control
FSH, LH, prolactin
Pregnancy test
β-HCG
IMMUNOLOGY
In our immunology department, tests are offered that cover a wide range of diseases of the immune system, such as:
- Autoimmune Diseases
- Hematological diseases
- Immune deficiencies
- Allergies (Rast tests – Immunocap Method)
- Control of sexually transmitted diseases
- In addition, antigens and antibodies against viruses as well as
- histocompatibility antigens are determined.
MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
The Molecular Biology department covers a wide range of tests, applying modern methods and using state-of-the-art analyzers.
Based on international analysis standards and in cooperation with reliable third parties, we carry out:
- Molecular control of thrombophilia
- Investigation of hemoglobinopathies
- Molecular control of cystic fibrosis
- Virological – Microbiological DNA analyses
- Molecular control of hepatitis
CANCER INDICES
In the Cancer Markers department we study and analyze cancer markers. Cancer markers contribute to the early diagnosis but also to the monitoring and prognosis of various forms of cancer.
And in this area, we apply strict quality controls, thus ensuring the most reliable results.
Examples include:
- CEA
- NSE
- About 19-9
- About 125
- CA 72-4
- PSA, free PSA
- A-FP
- β2-microglobulin
- hCG-b
- 5-HIAA
- SCC
